Locking By default, all domain names registered with NordNet Registrar are set to LOCK status (they are therefore "locked"). LOCK status is a lock placed on each domain name to guarantee protection from any unauthorised transfer request (undesired and not initiated and/or not requested by its owner). Transfer requests concerning locked domain names are automatically rejected.
Unlocking A locked domain name can however be "unlocked", via an "unlocking" procedure, in order to authorise transfer of the domain name to another Registrar. Likewise, an "unlocked" domain name can be "locked", via a "locking" procedure, to protect it from any "unauthorised" transfer request.
Note : If the domain name is not transferred to another Registrar within 30 days of unlocking being confirmed, NordNet Registrar will automatically reset the domain name status to LOCK.
